About George Dobash
How it started: at the age of 12 (1964), I went to a community center with my father to register for baseball. There was a band rehearsing in the auditorium. My father started talking to their manager who told him they were losing their drummer to the army. My father told him I played the drums and they asked me to get up and play. I've been playing every since. It's been 52 years now. The name of the band was THE DIABLOS.
THE DIABLOS: (early 60's till late 60's) played teen centers, high schools, cyo's, weddings, private parties and a few small bars around town. Near the end of the 60's my father took over as manager and the band became a family business with my two brothers working as our roadies. The band now became THE NEW DIABLOS.
THE NEW DIABLOS: (late 60's to early 80's). Worked hard to become one of Baltimores top full time bands playing all the major night clubs and dances in Maryland and surrounding states. Recorded two records which were cowritten by me and played on the radio in and around Baltimore. This band opened for several national acts such as; THE FOUR SEASONS, DR HOOK, RED BONE and THE HERMAN HERMITS. Also appeared on tv with THE FIFTH DIMENSIONS. 80's till early 90's: with the emergence of disco and DJ's it became hard to make a living playing music so I started to go to college during the day and played on the weekends with a few of the popular groups around town like; THE DIABLOS, FRAGILE and THE SENTRIES. 90's till early 2000: While playing in the Sentries, we got involved with CHARLIE THOMAS of the DRIFTERS and did a couple of shows with him. The band broke up and the singer ( Barry Gregory) became The Drifters musical director. He hire me, Mike Lang, John Rausch and Jim Groszer to be the Drifters band. We called ourself LIQUID. We not only played Drifter jobs but also booked jobs for ourselves. Because we were the Drifters band I got to play with other national groups and artists such as; THE ORLONS (the wah-watusi), THE ORIOLES (crying in the chapel), EDDIE HOLMAN (lonely girl), ARLENE SMITH (maybe), THE DIAMONDS ( little darlin) and the one and only BEN E KING ( stand by me and Spanish Harlem ). We played shows all over the United States and other countries. Early 2000 till now: The Drifters got a new director and I got less jobs. I was recommended to fill in for a band out of Annapolis and they offered me a permanent position so I took it and me and Charlie Thomas's Drifters parted on very good terms. Till this day he sends me a Christmas card and he came and sang at my wedding. I'll never forget when he said to me " you know you might be the best drummer I ever had". I currently still play for the Annapolis based band ACLASSIC CASE.

About Keith Burgess
Started at the age of 4 with my first plastic acoustic guitar. Then at 6 graduated to a wooden acoustic. Played in my first neighborhood band at 9. I had to borough a bass guitar from a kid down the street. We played Beatles, Monkeys and Stones songs. We all played and sang through the same amplifier.

My first real band was The Reflections followed by State Of Mind and we played for several school and church dances. After that I played in a duo with my closest friend Jay. We wrote several songs and played covers.

I played bass in several in other bands off and on a couple of years. And I dabbling with guitar as well until Jay and I formed Sunset. This was a working band playing 5 nights a week as well as special events. Jay and I also had a duo gig where we played Happy hours prior to our night gigs in Ocean City Maryland. As kids busy was a good thing.

After college I worked in Emergency Medicine and Jay and I started 2 other groups, Thin Ice and Zip Drive. We played clubs and events for about 10 years. Jay moved to O.C. and continues to lead Thin Ice.
I have done a singles act as well as the duo with George.
